DoneTrace

About DoneTrace

DoneTrace is a property documentation and inspection platform for landlords, property managers, real estate inspectors, vacation-rental operators, and the crews who keep buildings running. Every record we produce is proof-backed: photos, timestamps, and reviewer sign-off attached to each step of a repeatable checklist or protocol.

Why we built it

Property work runs on trust — and trust falls apart the moment a security-deposit dispute, an insurance claim, or an HOA complaint lands on someone's desk without a paper trail. "I checked it" isn't enough. A photo, a timestamp, and a clear inspection record are. DoneTrace makes producing that record the fastest thing you can do on a phone.

What DoneTrace is

Who uses DoneTrace

Landlords running one to twenty units. Property management companies standardizing move-in and move-out across hundreds of doors. Real estate and home inspectors delivering same-day packets to buyers. Airbnb operators proving turnovers to owners. Contractors, HOAs, and insurance-claim documenters who all need the same thing: repeatable work with proof attached. See the full list on the Industries page.

How we work

Content on this site — starter templates, guides, and blog posts — is written and reviewed by the DoneTrace editorial team. Templates are starter content, not professional or legal advice. Any regulated inspection workflow should be reviewed by a qualified expert in your jurisdiction before being used in production.

The promise

Run it. Prove it. Repeat it. Simple enough for a single move-in walk-through. Serious enough for an insurance claim, a turnover across 200 units, or a court-ready damage report.
